Don't have the attention span to commit to coherently formed sentences much less structure for a blog entry, so why not just get to the brass tacks? 

* Cortez The Killer - We played Crash Mansion on Thursday 10.29.09.  This got a better crowd than I had expected and I thought was a satisfactory show. Felt good. The traffic however sucked balls

* My Black Boyfriend - Played a Halloween show at RockStar Bar in Williamsburg.  You could tell it was Halloween because the show was scary - Scary how empty the place was.  It was $ guaranteed, so fuck em.  There was also no sound guy so we had to track down how this place had the PA cables run. The place sounded terrible too. It was a joke. Never playing that place again.

* Video Games - Bought 3 games as part of Best Buy's "Buy 2 Get 1 Free" promo.  Picked up NHL10, Resistance 2, and Borderlands.  Only popped in Borderlands, enjoyable, took a few minutes of getting used to, now into it.  By no means perfect, but it is solid. 

* Gambit - I'm playing a show for Lyle's pop-project on Nov. 13th before I go to London.  The first project I've been involved that isn't straight rock music.  This is considered "Gambit Beta" for Lyle to perform these live.  I don't think he'll use the same lineup in the future as this will be a test run as some playback tracks are required. I'm enjoying this as it is a different approach for me and takes a bit more thinking than I'm used to.

Halloween

The Trash Bar show was amazing. 
Naked Heroes... waited til 4am to see them play, absolutely worth it.
Smashed leg real good battling wobbling snare drum. I didn't notice any pain until I saw this.

The other bands were mostly good, if not a lot of fun.
Mike got drunk and attached his face to something all night. Pretty gross.

MBB's "Ron and Fez" got some XM Radio time on the Ron and Fez Show.

Unfortunately Rob and Deanna were not around, so the only photo I have is one I took behind the drum kit. Came out cooler than I thought it would.

Anyway, CTK show on 29th@ Crash Mansion. Switching gears between the two bands is always strange.

You always manage to run into this guy.  No matter how hospitable you are by providing him free booze, the beer snob will always complain about your beer tasting like horse piss.

Don't get me wrong, there are some shitty beers out there, but I'm not going to complain about someone only having MGD to drink. Believe me, I would rather the Dogfish Head IPA, but I'm not going to pass on readily available free brew.  If I'm going to, I won't be a snob about it.  /rant

Cortez The Killer/Gambit track on an "Inglorious Basterds"/Gangland promo.  AWESOME.

I like the round-ups people have been doing. It properly covers the excuse of not posting anything in a while.  Might have to try it.

* Played two My Black Boyfriend shows.  Beery's felt good, Broadway was ok.  I like playing. Is fun, ya
* Tracked guitar for new Cortez demo.
* CTK's "Car Crash Music" CD is printed and ready.
* My Black Boyfriend is playing in Brooklyn's Trash Bar, a touted venue on Thursday Aug 6th@11pm.  Shitty time but you have to prove yourself worthy first.
* Laura is working at a Private Investigating firm.  Must tread carefully...
* Samantha made these MBB drawings which are full of win.  Sold many pins of these. I look like a rapist.

Also announced @ E3, Metal Gear Solid:Rising. This also confuses me.  The game will star Raiden - and titled with Lightning Bolt Action; opposed to the usual Tactical Espionage Action.  This leads me to believe you're going all ninja on everything, making it (to me) not a true Metal Gear game.  I don't why it would carry "Solid" in the title as MGS4 wrapped up the Solid Snake story.

I don't know how I feel about it, but I'll wait til I see a trailer or something.

Speaking of Kojima, his production company is now working on the new Castlevania. ("Lords of Shadow" retrofitted)  Never was big into the series, but this could be cool.

Left4Dead 2 Announced by Valve @ E3.

I'm honestly kind of miffed by this.  The original game came out Novmember 08 (I think, can't be bothered) and built on the Source Engine... the original was essentially a 3 weapon game with two-tiers and had 3 campaigns.  I was hoping for episodic content, and I was surprised Valve is going Sequel with it. Now that I think about it, I thought the same about Portal, yet no downloadable content was ever realeased for that either.  I'm also not liking the personalities I'm seeing from the new cast. 

From the photo below, we seem to have Tony "Scarface" Montana, Sterotypical Bitchy black lady, Uncle Phil from Fresh Prince and the Team Fortress 2 Scout. I am a little interested to see how Uncle Phil fares, though.... Game comes out Holiday time. ($)

I have beaten CoD4 and CoD5 in one weekend. I went to a carnival, did Bumper Cars and the Himalaya.  The ride guy crushed my knee in the safety rail. Oh sweet irony.
